The 2026 mahjong card

Every American mahjong game is played against one card: the National Mah Jongg League’s list of that year’s winning hands. The League issues a new card each year, and the 2026 card is on sale now from its own store. A hand that is not on the current card cannot win.

What is on the card

The front lists the year’s hands in families, such as year hands, consecutive runs, winds and dragons, and singles and pairs. Each hand shows its value and whether it may be exposed (X) or must stay concealed (C). The back carries the League’s rules. The hands are the League’s own work, so we don’t print them here.
